Director Suseenthiran met Ajith recently to discuss a project. If everything goes fine, the duo will join hands for the first time.

While the director is still having discussions with Ajith, there were reports that they have locked in the script and the project will be given shape next year. Clarifying the speculations, Suseenthiran tweeted, "Let me clarify, nothing finalised regarding Ajith sir project. Even I want to work with Ajith sir..I'll share with you first if it happens."

It is said that the story was originally written by Suseenthiran, keeping Vijay in mind. But the actor could not take up the project for some reasons. Hence, the filmmaker had to approach Ajith as the story demands a star hero.

Suseenthiran is currently busy with "Paayum Puli", starring Vishal, Kajal Aggarwal and Samuthikirani. So far, he has directed nine films and has tasted success in art films. His dream venture in commercial cinema with "Rajapattai", starring Vikram, not only failed at the box office, but disappeared from the minds of the audience without a trace.

Hence, it is quite interesting to see whether Suseenthiran is planning a commercial movie or a project with the ingredients of an art film.

Meanwhile, Ajith's next movie after his upcoming "Thala 56" with Siruthai Siva is making a lot of news. From AR Murugadoss to Shankar, the names of many directors, including the actor's close associate Vishnuvardhan, is doing rounds.

Nonetheless, the actor has not accepted any offer as of now. On the other end, his upcoming film "Thala 56" is fast progressing and the second schedule of shooting is taking place in Kolkata. The movie, which has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role, will hit the screens during Diwali.
