Shah Rukh Khan, went all out to promote his latest flick "Happy New Year" (HNY) with his unique world tour titled "SLAM! The Tour", which resulted in a huge box office success for his film.
And now the buzz is that Salman Khan is set to follow in Shah Rukh's footsteps. The "Kick" star will reportedly travel around the world for the promotion of Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
A lot of organisers and Salman's NRI fans are requesting the team to come over and perform live shows much like the "HNY" team.
"Ever since the film's release date has been announced, there has been a constant flow of requests from organisers asking the film's team to come and perform." a source told Hindustan Times.
"Sooraj and Salman's past collaborations have been major hits, especially amongst the NRI population across the globe. This led them to consider doing a world tour with the entire cast of the film." the source added.
The star cast including Salman and lead actress Sonam Kapoor will dance to some of the songs of the film. Moreover, Slaman and the director's other popular song performances from films like "Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hai Koun...! (1994) and Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999) will be included.
"Yes, Barjatya has got offers, but nothing has been finalised till now." an insider from the production house told the daily.
Shah Rukh's massive and unique promotional strategy was said to be Bollywood's biggest extravaganza of all times. The entire cast of the film including Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah performed road shows in various cities across the US and Canada.
