After Mohanlal, director Ranjith has crossed seas to watch the Football World Cup in Brazil and will return to India only after the finals. The well-acclaimed director had posted his picture holding the ticket of the semifinals.

 

Besides watching the finals, the film maker intends to explore Brazil and its people.

"He is keen to capture the football fever outside the field, the life of people in Brazil, how football became a craze in Latin American towns and the impact of the game on their social life," reported Times of India.

Superstar Mohanlal had also gone to Brazil to watch the finals of the World Cup after wrapping up the shoot of "Peruchazhi", which is directed by Arun Vaidhyanathan and is set to be released on 29 August.

Director Ranjith was busy wrapping up the shoot of Malayalam film "Njan" before leaving to Brazil. The film is starred by Dulquer Salmaan and has three heroines in the lead, played by Jyothi Krishna, Anumol and new comer Shruthi Ramachandran.

"Njan" is based on a historical fiction, "KTN Katoor: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum," by TP Rajeevan. Ranjith's earlier movie, "Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathira Kolpathakathinte Kadha", was also based on Rajeevan's novel and Mammootty played the lead role in it.

Ranjith wrote the script of "Njan", based on Malabar region, when it was under the Madras Presidency. Dulquer plays the character of a journalist and Jyothi Krishna plays as his wife.

The film also has a rich star casts including Suresh Krishna, Saadhiq, Irshad, Harish Perady, Jayan Cherthala, Kuttikal Jayachandran and Saiju Kurup.

Ranjith will complete the final schedule of "Njan", once he's back from the Latin American country, said the TOI report.
