Reliance Jio will very soon come out with a GigaFiber fibernet Jio broadband internet network that promises to go beyond conventional broadband and offer internet speeds of 1Gbps for home users.

The Reliance Jio GigaFiber is a wired system of networks, and this fibre to the home (FTTH) service is already under test and will initially be launched in certain parts of India as a trial initiative, Gadgets360reported.

The report quotes users who have apparently received access to try out the Reliance Jio GigaFiber service as a free 90-day trial initiative (not live for everyone).

Users have reportedly checked out network download and upload speeds of an uniform 90Mbps.

The trial has been initiated in Mumbai and Pune, which gives an impression that the Reliance Jio GigaFiber FTTH wired broadband initiative is being tested in these cities, and may be officially launched here.

Also, a PhoneRadar report states that the Jio Broadband GigaFiber internet tariff plans would start from as low as Rs. 500 for 100Mbps speed (under the trial offer). At this point in time, it is not known whether there would be a data limit imposed on the 1Gbps plan.

Reliance Jio's 4G offer is taking Indians by storm, and the offer has now been expanded to a large number of LTE-enabled smartphone models. Users can simply walk into a nearest Reliance Digital Store with relevant documents to get a Jio 4G SIM card.
