A suicide truck bomb exploded near government offices in Afghanistan's Logar province near Kabul on Thursday, killing at least 8 people. 

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the latest attack, as per reports. 

Three policemen and five civilians were killed in the suicide bombing, officials told the Associated Press. 

The blast occurred in Puli Alam in the Logar province, near the provincial council office. 

"About 07:00 am, a Dyna truck full of explosives hit quick reaction forces office, and killed three civilians and three military members," provincial council head Hassib Stanikzai told TOLOnews.

"The provincial council building is totally destroyed and a part of the quick reaction forces office is also damaged," he said.
