Asia's premier air show "Aero India 2015" was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 18 February at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

The 10th edition of the aero show is based on the theme 'Make in India'.

"We are focusing on developing India's defence industry with a sense of mission. This is why it is at the heart of Make in India programme," the PM said during the event.

The event from 18 - 22 February will see flying skills of more than 15 teams and 23 aircrafts twice for the next 2 days.

Some of the major attractions at the event include Indian Air Force Sarang Team and air display teams from UK, Czech Republic and Sweden.

The event is also attended by Governor Vajubhai R. Vala, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, among others.
