Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) and Shivaay (Shivay) have completed 17 days at the box office with the former's collection being more than the Ajay Devgn-starrer.
Both the films are running in their 3rd week. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had collected over Rs 100 crore nett at the Indian box office by the end of second Tuesday. Now, Shivaay is also inching close to enter the 100 crore club.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has had a wonderful box office run post the Diwali celebrations. The film had grossed Rs 104.86 crore nett at the domestic market by the end of its second week. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected decent money over the 3rd weekend as well.
The 3 days combined earning of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, from Friday to Sunday, stood at Rs 3.4 crore nett at Indian box office, taking its 17-day collection to Rs 108.26 crore. On the other side, Ajay-starrer Shivaay's collection has also been going more or less at par with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The action thriller collected Rs 3 crore (approx) from Friday to Sunday, taking the total 17-day business to Rs 97.10 crore (approx). Shivaay is likely to cross the 100 crore mark by the end of its 3rd weekend.
Although the release of Rock On 2 has cut down the collection of both Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay to some extent, the musical drama failed to put much impact at the box office on its opening days. With not much hype around Rock On 2, Ajay and Karan's films are likely to run at the theatres for some more days, adding more to the numbers.
