Purulia, Feb 15 (ANI): Enthusiastic adventurists participated in the first Orienteering camp held in the Mao infested Ayodhya hill area of Matha Forest Range in Purulia of West Bengal. The camp has been organized by West Bengal Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Foundation, under the Youth Services Department of West Bengal government and the participants use their navigation skills with the help of a map and a compass to race on foot. Former Joint Director of National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation (NATMO) and Coordinator of the orienteering camp, Tridib Basu, shared the experience of organizing the camp. Basu also said that since this camp was the first of its kind, the instructors and participants were trained well in advance.
