Cannes Film Festival is underway, and so far Alia Bhatt, Urvashi Rautela and Tara Sutaria have walked the red carpet with scintillating couture over the days. After Alia Bhatt walked the red carpet for two days and donned five looks for L'Oréal Paris, the baton was passed to the brand's next ambassador, Aditi Rao Hydari, who brought timeless desi glamour to the French Riviera.

The actor exuded old-world sophistication in a breathtaking ivory saree by JADE by Monica and Karishma. The drape shimmered beautifully under the Riviera sun with delicate rhinestone embellishments and detailed embroidery scattered across the fabric. Adding a bold twist to the classic silhouette, Aditi paired the saree with a daring beige blouse featuring a deep plunging neckline.

Instead of over-accessorising, Aditi let her dramatic gold choker from Indriya Jewels steal the spotlight. She completed the styling with stacked statement rings while skipping earrings and bangles entirely. Her beauty look remained polished with glowing skin, softly flushed cheeks, lightly shimmery eyes, precise eyeliner and a bold red lip that added vintage charm to the ensemble. Her hair was styled in a middle-parted ponytail tied with a gold parandi, complementing the saree's traditional aesthetic beautifully.

Before stepping out in the ivory saree, Aditi also stunned in a monochrome black outfit featuring a bold front cut-out detail, tie-up back, cinched waist and breezy flowing skirt. She paired the look with statement gold dangling earrings and rings, keeping the styling sharp yet understated.

Tara Sutaria stuns in white

Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria, who made her Cannes debut this year, continued to amp up the glamour quotient with her third red carpet appearance. After serving vintage Hollywood vibes in her first two black looks, Tara slipped into a gorgeous ivory-white gown by Vivienne Westwood.

The gown featured the label's signature corset design with a structured bodice that sculpted her silhouette beautifully. A soft draped cowl neckline added a romantic, vintage-inspired touch, subtly highlighting her collarbones and shoulders. The luxurious satin fabric flowed seamlessly into a sleek floor-length skirt, while a dramatic matching stole draped around her arms elevated the look with movement and drama.

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Tara accessorised the ensemble with dazzling diamond-and-emerald jewellery. A statement emerald necklace sat elegantly around her neckline while matching chandelier earrings framed her face beautifully without overpowering the outfit.

Tara wore her hair in a sleek centre-parted bun, allowing the gown's neckline and jewellery to take centre stage. For makeup, she opted for softly sculpted cheeks, defined eyes with subtle smokiness, fluttery lashes, glowing skin and a nude lip that tied the entire look together effortlessly.

However, despite praise for the couture moment, some netizens compared Tara's latest ivory appearance to Sunny Leone and felt she could have chosen a brighter look for the occasion.

Tara Sutaria honoured at Women In Cinema Gala hosted by Red Sea Film Foundation during her Cannes debut

Speaking about being honoured at the gala, Tara described the experience as both emotional and memorable. She said, "It feels very, very special. I'm just so happy, I'm so humbled, I'm so thrilled to be in a room, full of women who are so celebrated and skilled, powerful, fabulous, beautiful, intelligent, just everything all at once."

The actress further reflected on the sense of unity and shared experiences among the attendees at the event. "And to just celebrate our differences, our likenesses, our sameness, and to really celebrate coming together and this wonderful amalgamation of so many things that we share in common," she added.

Tara also spoke about cinema being the common thread that connected everyone present at the gala. "Of course, our love for cinema and storytelling. And I'm really happy that the Red Sea Film Foundation and everyone at Cannes invited us to be here, and to share this honour with them feels really lovely," she said.

Demi Moore too skinny arms at cannes red carpet grab eyeballs

On the international front, Demi Moore sparked online debate after her recent Cannes appearance in a silver ensemble by Jacquemus. While many fans praised her glamorous look, social media users expressed concern over her visibly lean frame and "too skinny" appearance.

Comments flooded social media after stylist Brad Goreski shared a video featuring Demi Moore. Some fans called her physique "extremely thin" and speculated about the use of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs. Others argued the conversation reflected an unhealthy body-policing culture online.

UK-based nutritionist Joshua Wolrich also weighed in on the debate, warning against normalising extreme thinness by calling it "toned". He added that women using GLP-1 drugs should not be criticised, as societal beauty standards often pressure them toward thinness. Demi Moore has not responded publicly to the speculation.

Roopi Gill in traditional white attire at the red carpet

Punjabi actor Roopi Gill brought Punjabi heritage to the Cannes red carpet while promoting her upcoming film Chardikala, which is set for release on May 29.

Gill made a graceful appearance in a traditional ivory sharara set featuring delicate gold block printing and embroidery. The standout element of her look was a heavily ornate phulkari-style ivory dupatta draped over her head in classic Punjabi fashion.

She completed the ensemble with traditional Polki and Kundan jewellery accented with emerald drops, statement earrings and gold bangles. Her sleek hairstyle tucked beneath the dupatta ensured the focus remained on the craftsmanship of the attire and jewellery.

Sharing the inspiration behind her look, Roopi captioned the moment: "Punjab Di Mitti, Cannes De Carpet Te" — bringing the soil of Punjab to the global stage at Cannes.
