"Policegiri" actress Kavitta Verma and "Raqt" actress Sheena Shahabadi turned up in complete desi style for Navratri, one of India's famous religious festivals.

While Kavitta looked resplendent in a red and cream coloured lehenga-choli with minimum jewellery and makeup, Sheena, who is the daughter yesteryear actress Sadhna Singh, looked stunning in a pink chaniya choli.

Sheena later changed into a cream and red coloured ghagra-choli to pose with her mother Sadhna.

Kavitta shot to fame after performing in an item song in Sunjay Dutt's "Policecgiri". Kavitta, known for her bold public appearances, surprised everyone when she posed in a traditional Indian attire of lehenga choli.

Navratri, the longest dance festival in the country, is celebrated for nine days in October. The festival, celebrated with much pomp especially in Gujarat and Maharashtra, honours the nine forms of Hindu goddess Devi.

The tenth day is known as Dussehra or Vijayadashmi. This year the festival started on 5 October and will end on 13 October.

Since Navami (ninth day) and Dashmi (10 day) will fall on the same day, this year's Navratri will be celebrated for eight days.
