Even as Vijay's "Jilla" is still running successfully in theatres, buzz surrounding the actor's upcoming films has begun.

It is well known that Vijay is all set to team up with director AR Murugadoss for a new film which is expected to go on floors soon. Expectations are high for this film as the director-actor duo had given the blockbuster flick "Thuppakki".

Following the AR Murugadoss directorial, Vijay will reportedly be seen in a film to be produced by PT Selvakumar of "Onbadhule Guru" fame. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2014 after Vijay completes AR Murugadoss project. It will be jointly produced by Thameen movies and Selvakumar. Details about the director and other cast, crew members are yet to be finalised.

Now, latest buzz doing the rounds is that Vijay has given his nod for director Atlee of "Raja Rani" fame. Atlee, who worked as an assistant director for Shankar in films like "Nanban" and "Endhiran", made his directorial debut with "Raja Rani." The film, which released in 2013, received fantastic response from audiences and turned out to be a big hit.

The stupendous success of "Raja Rani" has put Atlee in the top league of directors. Fans are eager to know about the director's next project.

Atlee has reportedly narrated a script to "Ilaya Thalapathy" (Vijay is referred in this name by his fans). Apparently, the actor was floored by Atlee's script and has agreed to work in his film. Details about other cast members are not yet known. According to a Behindwoods report, Atlee might retain his technical crew from "Raja Rani".

It is not clear whether the Vijay-Selvakumar film will be the one directed by Atlee or if it is a different project. An official announcement regarding the actor's future projects ( except AR Murugadoss film) is still awaited.
