Actor Sidharth Bharathan, who has been recovering after last week's accident, is likely to undergo surgery on Wednesday, according to latest reports.

The critically-injured actor, who was admitted to Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi, had sustained serious head and limb wounds after he had met with an accident on 12 September. However, he has been stable since Monday morning.

Doctors have reportedly said that Sidharth will undergo surgery on his arm on Wednesday as his health condition has improved.

The actor's blood pressure has become normal and his sedation was reduced as his body has been responding positively to the medical treatment.

Sidharth has acted in several films; he later turned to filmmaking by remaking his father's 1981 film "Nidra". His latest directorial was Dileep starrer "Chandrettan Evideya".

The 32-year-old actor, who is the son of late filmmaker Bharathan and actress KPAC Lalitha, made his acting debut in Kamal directorial "Nammal" in 2002.

Meanwhile, his "Nammal" co-actor Jishnu Raghavan is also dealing with health issues as he has been undergoing cancer treatment for quite some time.
