The makers of The Accidental Prime Minister have released the trailer of the movie, and has received positive response from viewers on social media. It features Anupam Kher playing the role of former PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Based on a book by the same title and written by Sanjaya Baru, The Accidental Prime Minister showcases Singh's journey as the PM of India from 2004 to 2014 under UPA regime.
The trailer of the movie shows Anupam Kher getting into the shoes of Singh, perfectly resembling the latter's appearance and body language. The film also features Akshaye Khanna as the PM's advisor, Suzanne Bernert as Indian National Congress former president Sonia Gandhi, Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Gandhi and Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi among others.
The trailer shows that the makers of The Accidental Prime Minister have given great attention in making each of the characters resemble the real-life personalities. While the movie is highly controversial as it does not show the Congress party leaders in much good light, its trailer started trending on social media as soon as it got released, and has been liked by many.
