Bollywood heartthrob Abhay Deol is all set to romance his girlfriend and actress Preeti Desai onscreen in his home production titled, "One By Two".
The couple will act together for the first time.
Dialogue, screenplay and story writer Devika Bhagat will be making her debut as director with "One By Two". She has earlier written the screenplay for films like "Manorama Six Feet Under", "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Aisha", "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl", "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and "I, Me Aur Main".
When asked about romancing his real life girlfriend onscreen, Abhay told DNA, "The comfort equation definitely shoots up."
Abhay, who is known for doing dark films, is now planning to do romantic and comedy films.
"For the time being," he said adding, "Yes, it's actually been a while since I have done a full-on romantic film since my debut, so this should be interesting. I have worked with this team earlier too so it feels like one big family affair."
"People don't think of genres anymore. The script is all that matters. And as long as it appeals to my sensibilities as an actor-producer, I'm on," he added.
The UK model-actor made her debut in 2011 with "Shor In The City". Preeti was also supposed to do a cameo in Abhay's "Rock The Shaadi" but it has been put on hold.
"Abhay and Preeti are confirmed. In fact, he is going to co-produce the film under his yet-to-be launched production house, IE Films. The film, in all likelihood, will go on the floors around March," Hindustan Times quoted an insider close to the production as saying.
