The second song from Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial Aashiqon Ki Colony, a dance number featuring Shahid Kapoor and Disha Patani from O'Romeo, was released on Tuesday.
Sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Javed Ali, the song brings together the iconic duo of poet-lyricist Gulzar and composer Vishal Bhardwaj. The music video is picturised on Disha Patani and Shahid Kapoor, marking the first time they are paired on-screen.
Disha Patani plays a seductive courtesan, while Shahid, as Romeo, matches her steps in the sensuous "item" number. In the video, Shahid is seen wearing a black-and-brown leather outfit with a hat, while Disha dons a bralette and a maroon skirt.
Netizens, however, were not pleased with the on-screen chemistry and criticised Disha's outfit, saying it resembled what she wears at events and award shows. They also disapproved of her makeup and dance moves, commenting that she tried hard to make the chemistry work but failed.
Many said Disha looks old and has aged.

O'Romeo is a gangster-actioner based on a story from the anthology Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi and Jane Borges.
The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Farida Jalal, and Disha Patani, with Vikrant Massey in a special appearance.
The movie is slated for a theatrical release on February 13 during Valentine's week.
