A CBI team on Thursday reached the residence of Nupur Talwar in Hauz Khas area in New Delhi to arrest her following a non-bailable warrant issued against her by a Ghaziabad on Wednesday.

Nupur Talwar, the prime suspect in the Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj double murder case, skipped a court hearing on Wednesday, promoting the judiciary to issue a warrant in her name as requested by probing authorities.

In the last hearing, the CBI alleged that the accused couple had destroyed all the evidence in the case and sought for Nupur's judicial custody. The agency requested the court to direct Rajesh Talwar, another accused in Aarushi case, to move a fresh bail plea.

The special CBI court trying the Aarushi murder case ordered Nupur to appear before the court within 30 days. However, Nupur dared to go against the court order by being absent during the hearing while her husband Rajesh Talwar appeared for the trial, who is out on bail at present.

Nupur's lawyer sought the court to exempt her from appearing as the plea against the apex court's order to face trial is still pending. The plea of Talwars would come for hearing at apex court on April 27.

In 2008, Aarushi, a 14-year-old girl, was found murdered in her bedroom at Noida house, Uttar Pradesh, as her throat slit. Hours after, another dead body was found on the terrace, which was identified as that of Talwars' servant Hemraj.
