Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao's jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh goes missing; other Bollywood celebs who were robbed

Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao's house in Bandra, Mumbai, has been robbed. While Kiran and Aamir live in Carter Road, the robbery took place at Kiran's home in another locality in Bandra.

According to a Mid-Day report, Kiran discovered last week that a ring and a diamond necklace, worth over Rs 53 lakh, were missing from her bedroom. Following this, her relatives filed a police complaint.

According to sources, the police suspect the domestic help and have been rigorously questioning three of them over the last few days. The filmmaker has, however, not commented on the matter as of now.

A few other Bollywood celebrities who were robbed off their belongings are:

Mallika Sherawat: Mallika and her French partner were teargassed and hit by three masked people outside their Paris flat. The masked men intended to rob the couple. 

Sonam Kapoor: In 2015, Sonam had registered a complaint with the Juhu police regarding a diamond necklace that went missing from her bungalow. As per the complaint, Sonam attended a party where she wore the necklace. She then kept the necklace in a drawer in her room, but later the same day she found it missing. The cost of the necklace was about Rs 5 lakh. 

Arpita Khan Sharma: Salman's sister Arpita's apartment was robbed of cash and valuables worth Rs. 3.25 lakh in August 2016. The incident took place when she was away with her husband on a vacation.

Sushmita Sen: Former Miss Universe was robbed in Athens, Greece, in 2012 while she was on a vacation. Her entire luggage including her phone and passport were stolen. 

Kajol: The actress had filed a complaint of 17 missing gold bangles from her home in Mumbai in 2013. Later, the actress' domestic help confessed to the crime and the police managed to recover four bangles.
