Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3" will be up against Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" even though there is a considerable amount of gap between their releases.

As Aamir gears up for his role of a baddie in the eagerly anticipated "Dhoom 3" lets rewind to the film's previous installment "Dhoom 2" which had Hrithik playing the perfect villain. Looks like the clocks have now reversed.

Hrithik's portrayal of the swanky, gizmo friendly and highly stylish crook in "Dhoom 2" had been the USP of the action film. He was seen easily slipping into various fetching avatars for the film and his killer looks only added to the charm.

The icing on the cake was his intelligent foil Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The duo made up one of the best looking pairs in the industry with their magnificent dancing skills. With this, high standards have been set and it remains to be seen if the sequel has the potential to live up to the expectations.

On the other hand, perfectionist Aamir's "Dhoom 3," promised to be an entertaining piece from the first look itself.  Aamir's overpowering screen presence and rogue biker avatar has evoked major interest in the flick. Adding to the hype, this is the first time Aamir has been paired opposite Katrina Kaif, which might prove to be an interesting chemistry.

While Aamir is being pitted against Hrithik who is his junior in the industry by many years, the "Rang De Basanti" actor is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that his upcoming movie walks away with the accolades. To counter "Krrish 3" release on November 1, Aamir has decided to play his card yet again. The superstar has called for a major event on 30 October with respect to "Dhoom 3" release and the event will feature the film's entire cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra. The event will also see the release of "Dhoom 3"s  second trailer.

Just as "Krrrish 3" is attempting massive marketing strategies, Aamir's timely decision has caught the attention of the industry as well as the fans.

With this act, will Aamir overshadow Hrithik? Or will the superhero flick get away with uncompromised attention? Guess only time will tell.
