The auspicious festival of lights is on its way. From the 'commoners' to B-Town celebrities, people have started to plan for this Diwali to make it special.

Aamir Khan, who has just returned from Cannes, is planning to throw a card party at his Bandra residence on the festival day, according to The Times of India. It is rumoured that the "PK" star has invited Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Rajkumar Hirani, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ayan Mukerji and many others as guests.

The report also states that television director Ekta Kapoor will host a card party, a day before Diwali (22 October) at her family bunglow in Juhu. Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi and Sonakshi Sinha and many others are apparently on her guest list.

India TV reports that like last year, the Bachchan family might also throw a bash on the festival day. The family has one more reason to celebrate this year, and that is Abhishek Bachchan starrer "Happy New Year", which is set to release on 24 October.

Salman Khan and his brothers are also expected to have a grand celebration like every year.

Meanwhile, this is will be the first Diwali Rani Mukherjee will have with her husband Aditya Chopra.

Veteran Anil Kapoor is already in Diwali mood as he was recently seen enjoying a pre-Diwali bash. Satish Kaushik, David Dhawan, Archana Puran Singh and husband Parmeet Sethi were present to 'rock-n-roll' with him.

Even Raveena Tandon was captured in the festive mood, and was looking stunning in a gorgeous saree.
