As the marriage season is nearing, the second edition of the "Aamby Valley India Bridal Week" (AVIBW) started in Mumbai.
Under the aegis of the Fashion Design and Promotion, the VCI Hospitality Ltd. is organizing the event from Sept. 23 to Sept. 27 at Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai.
The organizers claim it will provide a good platform for the customers who want to select perfect wedding dress as well as for the designers to promote and exhibit their wedding dress designs.
"The second year of this grand fashion extravaganza will offer customers a plethora of options for a perfect wedding ensemble, and a destination like Aamby Valley for an exotic and picturesque luxury wedding," said CEO, Aamby Valley City and Hotel Sahara Star Vivek Kumar.
"Weddings in India is a time when families come together to celebrate the heritage of our culturally rich nation. At AVIBW 2011, it is our endeavor to offer an ambiance that recreates the magic of any dream wedding," he added.
According to organizers of the event, 11 designers and over 50 models are a part of this grand event and the production scale this year is twice that of last year.
In a bid to build a nationwide publicity, Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut was appointed as the brand ambassador of the fashion event.
This time bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat will also walk the ramp donning Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor's creation.
Tarun Tahiliani, Pallavi and Bhairavi Jaikishan, Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, Anjalee Kapoor, Shane and Falguni Peacock, will present their designs at the AVIBW event.
