The rocking first look poster and the teaser of Mahesh Babu's upcoming film "Aagadu" have been released much to the delight of fans.

Superfans of Babu across the world unveiled the first look of the film on Friday midnight and the teaser was released on Saturday morning on the special occasion of superstar Krishna's (Mahesh's father) birthday.

The actor rocks in the teaser trailer with his charming looks and catchy dialogues. Looking at the video, it appears that the film will have a lot of action sequences.

"Aagadu" is touted to be an action comedy entertainer with Babu and Tamannaah playing the lead roles. The superstar will be appearing in the role of a cop for the second time in Sreenu Vaitla's film. Their last release "Dookudu", also a commercial entertainer, had the actor in a police officer's role.

A lot is riding on "Aagadu" as Babu's last film "1 Nenokkadine" failed to set the cash registers ringing. The Sukumar directorial was a psychological thriller devoid of commercial elements. The film was critically acclaimed, however it did not strike gold at the box office.

Now all eyes are on "Aagadu" that brings together the hit combo of Babu-Vaitla once again. Fans would expect nothing short of another blockbuster from the actor-director duo. Whether the commerical entertainer will impress the audience or not is something that needs to be seen.

Currently, the film's team is shooting in Ladakh and the next schedule will commence in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Besides the lead pair, "Aagadu" has Rajendra Prasad and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles. Comedians Brahmanandam and M.S. Narayana are also part of the film and they are expected to provide some bone tickling, funny moments in the big budget entertainer.

Music composer Thaman has composed the songs and the audio launch in expected to happen after the shooting is completely wrapped up.

The action drama is produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. It is expected to hit theatres on 26 September, but the date is yet to be confirmed officially.

If the film releases on the afore-mentioned date, then it will more likely clash with Ram Charan's "Govindudu Andarivaadele" which is set for a Dussehra release. The family entertainer, directed by Krishna Vamsi, might be out in theatres on 1 October just a few days after "Aagadu" releases.

Fans will be in for a real treat if the two of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema lock horns one more time. In the past, Charan and Babu's films have clashed and both actors have proved their star power at the box office. It will be interesting to see how their upcoming films fare once they hit the screens.
