8th Edison Awards: 'Madras' Best Tamil Film; Dhanush Best Actor for 'VIP' [PHOTOS+WINNERS' LIST]

The 8th Edison Award ceremony took place in Chennai on Sunday, 15 February, to honour the best performances of the Tamil film industry for the year 2014.

The event hosted by Sun music VJ Anjana saw the presence of many Kollywood celebs.

While Dhanush received the best actor award for the film "Velai Illa Pattathari", Janani Iyer received the 'Rising star of 2014' award.

Pa Ranjith's "Madras" won the best film award and Anirudh was selected as the best music director for the film "Kaththi".
