After launching its compact sedan Figo Aspire and the hatchback New Figo, US auto maker Ford is now set to roll out the facelifted avatar of its popular SUV EcoSport in India.

Recently, Ford confirmed that its new EcoSport facelift will see the light of the day before Christmas this year and now, it looks like the company is gearing up for a launch way before than expected.

The Facebook page of Ford EcoSport has teased the front fascia of the SUV, which we assume that it is the updated EcoSport that is expected to hit the showrooms shortly.

A report in The Economic Times reveals that the facelifted version of Ford EcoSport, which is in the works, has been codenamed ICA (Intermediate Cycle Action), and the changes in this model are limited to minor tweaks such as daytime running lights and fog lamps, electro-chromic mirror and rain-sensing wipers.

Expected to be priced Rs 5,000-Rs 20,000 more than the existing EcoSport variants, the new EcoSport facelift will also have an additional Golden Bronze body paint shade on offer.

Under the hood, the 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine of Ford EcoSport facelift will be retuned to generate 99bhp of power, which is nearly 10% more than the current engine of the SUV. The 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol and the 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engines will continue as it is.

In the new facelifted avatar of EcoSport, Ecoboost petrol engine will also be available on the mid-variant Trend+.
