Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has unveiled the 2016 RC 390 super-sport motorcycle at the 2015 EICMA show that began in Milan, Italy on 17 November.

Only KTM aficionados could find the difference between the current model and the 2016 model as there are very few changes in design. The significant change comes in the form of new aluminium silencer to comply with the Euro 4 standard. The new exhaust system eschews the under belly exhaust of current motorcycle which is regarded as one of the interesting element in the motorcycle.

2016 KTM RC 390 adds slipper clutch that will help the riders to downshift quickly. The motorcycle now comes with disconnectable ABS system which will help the promising rider to hone their race riding skills. The front disc brakes are bigger now with 320mm diameter and, brake and clutch levers are also adjustable.

Another major introduction to the RC390 is the ride-by-wire technology. This will result in smoother and refined power delivery to the motorcycle. The 2016 RC390 carries over the same 373.2cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that generates 43.4bhp at 9,500rpm and 35Nm torque at 7,250 mated to a six-speed transmission.

Going by the trend and India being one the hot markets for KTM, the 2016 RC390 India entry is not very far. The India unveil can be expected at the 2016 Auto Expo in February and launch subsequently. The 2016 model will be slightly premium buy compared to the current model.
