Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker is reportedly gearing up to launch its new Swift facelift in India in November this year, according to reports.

If you are planning to buy a hatchback, we suggest you to wait for few more months as the auto market in India is getting ready to welcome new models like Swift and Bolt. We saw the launch of new Polo hatchback last month and we are expecting Punto EVO and new Elite i20 in coming days.

Maruti Swift, which has been a runaway success in the hatchback segment is now going to get a new avatar in the country. The new model has been doing the rounds on the Internet for quite some time now and the latest is that the car will see the light of the day in November, 2014, according to Auto Economic Times.

Maruti Swift facelift, which is already in sales in the international markets like Europe and Japan will carry over the same design language of the original Swift, but will receive cosmetic upgrades and subtle enhancement of features.

Talking about the changes in the new Swift, the model is expected to flaunt a new front fascia with reworked grille, headlights and front bumper along with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL). It might also get tweaked taillights. Other features that are expected in the new facelift are foldable rear seats, infotainment with Bluetooth connectivity and electronic foldable ORVMs.

Under the skin, Maruti Swift is likely to come with the same tried and tested 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engines. Maruti will be selling the new Swift along side its current model and there are also rumours that the company will introduce automatic versions in both petrol and diesel.

Although we are not yet sure about the price of the new Swift, the word is that the car would cost little more than its current model.

Meanwhile, Maruti's new Ciaz sedan is also expected to make its launch during this festive season. Ciaz, a sedan based on the Suzuki Authentics concept car, first seen at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo is likely to host features like alloy wheels, engine start button, rear AC vents and front armrest along with dual tone black and beige interiors and leather seats. On the safety front, Ciaz is speculated to come with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
