Suriya's "Singam 2" is still doing good business not just in India, but in overseas markets as well.

"Singam 2", which is in its fourth week, is getting screened in some theatres despite new releases. The film has already been declared a hit raking in good money from worldwide markets.

The Suriya starrer had grossed more than ₹50 crore from Indian markets in just ten days of its release. At overseas box office, "Singam 2" opened to a grand response from film buffs. The action entertainer earned over ₹3 crore in the first week in North America, UK and Australia box office.

"Singam 2" success streak continues even in some of the Southeast Asian countries including Singapore and Malaysia, where the film has received positive feedback.

Suriya's films have witnessed roaring business in Malaysia. The actors' films including "Vel", "Ayan", "Adhavan", "Vaaranam Aayiram" and "Singam" have performed well at the box office. "Singam 2" has collected ₹9.98 crore from the Malaysian markets, becoming the highest grossing Suriya film in the country. The film has even grossed more than Vijay's blockbuster flick "Thuppakki", which had raked in ₹9.64 crore, reported Behindwoods.com.

"Singam 2" has emerged as the fourth highest grossing Tamil film next to Rajinikanth's "Endhiran" (₹17.54 crore gross), Sivaji (₹15.41 crore) and Dasavatharam (₹10.45 crore), the Behindwoods.com report said.

"Singam 2", starring suriya as a righteous cop, was released on 5 July. Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, the film did good business worldwide. The success of "Singam 2" has comes as a big relief for Suriya, whose last two films - "Maattran" and "7aum Arivu" - failed to set the cash registers ringing.

The actor has now shifted his focus to Lingusamy's project, which will get commenced in August. The film has Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading lady and the music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
