It was raining celebrities at the curtain raiser event of Rajinikanth's upcoming film "Kochadaiiyaan" in Mumbai. [Also Read: Rajinikanth to Romance Two Beauties in KS Ravikumar Film?]
The event, which was held at Cinemax, Mumbai, witnessed the presence of some of the industry's popular celebrities including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Shekar Kapur, R Balki, Anupam Kher, Ramesh Sippy, Subash Ghai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Resul Pookutty, Jaya Bachchan and Kajol among others.
Rajinikanth's wife Latha and daughter Soundarya, who is making her directorial debut with "Kochadaiiyaan," were also present at the occasion.
The film's Hindi version trailer was launched by Amitabh. While speaking at the event, the actor lauded Soundarya's efforts for making India's first motion capture film. The actor further said that in this 100th year of Indian cinema, history will be talking about this, saying it will be before "Kochadaiiyaan" and after "Kochadaiiyaan."
Superstar Rajinikanth thanked the film's producers Eros International and Mediaone Global Entertainment for taking up the project. He also thanked music composer AR Rahman for providing wonderful music to "Kochadaiiyaan."
