After earning over ₹1 crore at its preview on Thursday, Hollywood film, "Fast & Furious 6" went on to earn big at the Indian box office, collecting more than ₹22 crore in just four days.

"Fast & Furious 6", the sixth installment of the Fast and the Furious film series, was released in 1200 screens across the country on 24 May. It features Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Luke Evans, Gina Carano, and John Ortiz in the lead roles.

"'Fast & Furious 6' Thu previews 1.85 cr, Fri 6.02 cr, Sat 6.63 cr, Sun 7.05 cr. Total: 21.55 cr on 1200 screens. Fantabulous!" tweeted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Interestingly, the Vin Diesel starrer did much better than Indian films - "Ishkq In Paris", "Hum Hai Raahi CAR Ke" and "Zindagi 50:50" - which were released on the same day "Fast & Furious 6" was released.

Directed by Justin Lin, "Fast & Furious 6" is an action thriller which was premiered in England on 17 May before making international release on 24 May. It is said to be made on a budget of $160 million and has reportedly collected over $122 million from worldwide so far.

According to Hollywood.com, "Fast & Furious 6" is the biggest earner on Memorial Day weekend with $122.2 million, beating "The Hangover Part III" ($52 million), "Star Strek: Into Darkness" ($48 million), "Eoic" ($44 million), "Iron Man 3" ($24 million), and "The Great Gatsby" ($17.34 million).
