According to trade analyst Trinath, "Krrish 3" raked in ₹14.53 crore in its first week at the Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu box office. However, it is not just the Hindi version of "Krrish 3" that performed well in these two southern states.

Interestingly, the Telugu and Tamil dubbed version of "Krrish 3" also performed well. Trinath reported that the Tamil and Telugu version together earned ₹6.2 crore at the Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh box office.

In particular, the Telugu dubbed version of "Krrish 3" was received better than the Tamil version, as there were no big Telugu releases during that time except for Vishal's "Paalnadu."

However in Tamil Nadu, the business of "Krrish 3" was affected by Tamil releases including "Arrambam", "All in All Azhaguraja" and "Pandiya Nadu." While the release of three Tamil films reduced the screen count for "Krrish 3," the film still film managed to hold its position throughout the week. The Hrithik starrer posted a huge total, when its business was closed in Andhra Pradesh, whereas its collections were decent in Tamil Nadu.

Now, the focus has shifted to Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" which is all set to hit the screens on 20 December. The film will be releasing simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. The "Dhoom" franchise is quite popular in southern markets similar to "Krrish" franchise.

Following the success of Hindi films like "Chennai Express" and "Krrish 3", the buzz surrounding big Bollywood stars has been positive in south markets. "Dhoom 3" particularly is generating a lot of expectations in southern states and the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of "Dhoom 3" teasers have been received well by the audience.

According to reports, the pre-release business for "Dhoom 3" Telugu version is quite good. Sai Korrapati of Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram has acquired the distribution rights of "Dhoom 3" for Andhra and Ceded areas for a whopping amount.

The Aamir starrer is expected to have a wide release in Andhra Pradesh as well as in Tamil Nadu. Sathyam Cinemas, which will be distributing the Hindi and Tamil versions in Tamil Nadu, has booked around 150 screens to release "Dhoom 3." The screen count is likely to go higher and the film might be released in more number of screens than "Chennai Express."

"Dhoom 3" will be facing competition from Tamil releases "Biriyani" and "Endrendrum Punnagai", which is releasing around the same time. However, the film might enjoy a good run in Andhra Pradesh as there are no big Telugu releases.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, "Dhoom 3" has Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprising their roles. Katrina Kaif plays the female lead in the film, produced by Yash Raj Films.
