Ravi Teja's "Balupu" is still doing good business at the overseas box office even after two weeks of its release.

"Balupu" had a good opening in the US fetching ₹1.76 crore ($ 296,447) from 60 screens in its opening weekend in the US. This is the biggest ever debut weekend collections for a Ravi Teja film. "Balupu" grossed more than the total business made by some of Ravi Teja's past hit films including "Kick"- $201,000 (₹1.19 crore), "Don Seenu" - $213,000 (₹1.26 crore) and Mirapakai - $250,000 (₹1.48 crore).

The total collections of "Balupu" was pegged at $428,871 (around ₹2.56 crore) at the end of second weekend. The film still continues its dream run at the box office, even on weekdays. On Monday (8 July), the film made $2,013 (approximately ₹1 lakh) and on Tuesday, "Balupu" witnessed a huge jump in collections raking in $6,229 (around ₹3 lakh), despite new releases including Suriya's "Singam 2" ("Singam-Yamudu 2" in Telugu version).

Adding the two-day figures, the total collections of "Balupu" is now estimated at ₹2.61 crore. The film has turned out to be a big hit in the US.

"Telugu film #Balupu [2nd Week] - USA: Mon $ 2,013, Tue $ 6,229. Total: $ 437,113 [Rs 2.61 crores]. HIT," film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Balupu" has performed extraordinarily well in south India, where Ravi Teja enjoys a huge fan following. The film had the biggest ever opening not just at his home-ground Andhra Pradesh but also in Tamil Nadu. It earned ₹15 crore in Andhra Pradesh during the first week, whereas in Tamil Nadu it minted ₹40.25 lakh from 35 screens in the first three days of its release.

With Gopichand's "Sahasam" releasing on 12 July, it remains to be seen if "Balupu" would be able to sustain its business.

Meanwhile, the Ravi Teja starrer has already been declared a smash hit in India as well as overseas markets. The film crew celebrated their success at a recently held press meet where they cut cakes and shared their success story with the media.
