After Beti B, "Baby K" has finally arrived!
Indian actress Shilpa Shetty gave birth to a baby boy Monday morning at Hinduja hospital Mumbai.
The 36-year-old actress has finally joined the league of celeb moms like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and others who gave birth to their little ones in the recent past and is extremely thrilled to be a mother.
Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra welcomed their first child together. The overjoyed new father announced the new adition to the family on his twitter page soon after the birth of the child, around 7:00 in the morning.
"A big thank you to my wife @TheShilpaShetty for the bestest gift ever, DR Kiran Cohelo and all the staff at Hinduja Hospital!," he wrote.
Well, in allusion with the widely popular name of superstar Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan's Beti B (Aaradhya), Shilpa and Raj are calling their son "Baby K" for the time being.
"Thank you all for your love and wishes for our new born. Both mum and Baby K are resting. Our Parents now turn grand parents#blessedbaby," he wrote in his latest Twitter update about the newborn.
Raj wrote on twitter that both mother and baby Kundra a.k.a "Baby K" are doing fine. He said, "God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits!!!!!!," Raj Tweeted
Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy, Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and scores of fans wished the couple on social networking sites.
Bipasha Basu wrote: "@TheShilpaShetty and Raj Congratulations on the birth of ur lil baby boy!So happy fr you both!Love!"
"It's a boy!! Congrts @TheRajKundra & @TheShilpaShetty ! welcome to their little bundle of joy! hugs! :)," actress Sameera Reddy wrote.
"Congratulationnnssss @TheShilpaShetty @TheRajKundra on the arrival of the bundle of joy- lotsa love," actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted.
Vivek Oberoi wrote, "Congratulations to @TheShilpaShetty and @TheRajKundra on the birth of their baby boy! God bless."
The duo married in a grand ceremony in 2009 and announced pregnancy in December last year. The London-born entrepreneur, Raj Kundra, also has a daughter with ex-wife Kavita.
