It was earlier reported that Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" has minted ₹100 crore in box office collections worldwide. However, some reports are challenging that the Tamil movie grossed ₹100 crore.

A tracker named Ramesh had earlier posted: ""#YennaiArindhaal WW Feb 5th - 22nd BO Gross: #India - ₹ 73.30 Crs Overseas - ₹ 28.50 Crs Total - ₹ 101.80 Crs" A few days ago, he added that the film has earned about ₹106 crore worldwide in 25 days.

"#YennaiArindhaal World-wide Feb 5th - Mar 1st BO Gross: #India - ₹76 Crs Overseas - ₹30 Crs Total - ₹106 Crs," his post read. While Ajith fans welcomed the news, some other trade trackers have refused to believe that the film grossed over ₹100 crore.

As per leading trade tracker Andhra Box Office, "Yennai Arindhaal" had earned ₹87 crore worldwide by the end of its 18-day run in theatres. Now, traders predict the film could have approximately added about ₹5-7 crore in the next seven days, which means that the film has not yet earned ₹100 crore.

It is believed that the numbers from Tamil Nadu and overseas business have created confusion among trade trackers. Adding to that, the makers have not opened up on "Yennai Arindhaal" business as yet. Their official statement alone can end the speculation on the box office collection amount.

Nonetheless, "Yennai Arindhaal" starring Ajith, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arul Vijay has won the hearts of the discerning (class) audience. The portrayal of characters and the performance of the lead actors are highlights of the film.

"Yennai Arindhaal" has been directed by Gautham Menon and produced by AM Rathnam. The movie hit screens on 5 February. On the release day, it had raked in ₹14.05 crore. It earned ₹53.05 crore in its four-day weekend.
