The flash sale of Xiaomi's much-hyped flagship device, the Mi 5, was a blink-and-you-miss-it affair in India at the Mi Fan Festival Wednesday. The handset is up again for sale, which will take place next week.

The device was made available at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. Wednesday but only the lucky ones could grab it, as the booking was over within seconds of its opening.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 flash sale 2 will kick off at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Unlike the previous flash sale, where registration was not required to buy the device, prospective buyers have to register for the next week's sale on the company's official website.

Only one of the three variants of the Mi 5 is available in India at the moment — the 32GB storage and 3GB RAM model of the device priced at Rs. 24,999. It is not known when these models will be released in India.
