Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok joo will be back with episode 9 next Wednesday, December 14. The sequel will focus on the sincere attempts of Jung Joon-hyung to help his childhood friend.
The shocking cliffhanger of episode 8 left many questions for the viewers about the fate of the female lead and her romantic life. They are eager to know about her relationship with the swimmer and his cousin brother.
Despite the honest efforts by Lee Sun-ok, Jung Nan-hee and others to hide the real identity of Kim Bok joo from her obesity doctor Jae-yi, he finally finds it out. He realises that his patient, who claimed to be a musician, is a weightlifter from Hanwool College of Physical Education. Now, it is up to Nam Joo-hyuk's character to help his friend win back her lover.
The official trailer for episode 9 shows Lee Jae-yoon's character asking his younger brother the real reason for the weightlifter to hide the truth from him. He even discusses the issue with his former lover and the lady doctor Go Ah-young. She informs him that Kim Bok joo has a match and he goes to the venue with a flower bouquet.
However, the next scene shows Jung Joon-hyung advising his friend to find a person who will accept her the way she is instead wasting time and energy on somebody who has no interest in her. Does this hint that the obesity doctor has lost his interest in her after knowing that she is a weightlifter?
The fans will have wait for the release of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok joo episode 9 next Wednesday, December 14, at 10 pm KST on MBC. Until then, they can watch the first eight episodes of the period drama online here.
Meanwhile, the followers of the Korean mini-series are also eager to know if Song Shi-ho is finally getting over her former boyfriend.
