According to the synopsis of the episode, Sanjay's son Jay takes over the Kwik-E-Mart, but Apu is displeased when he turns it into a food market. Bart attempts to prank the new store even though he told Homer he wouldn't prank anymore.

Initially, Apu is happy with the dedication shown by Sanjay's son. However, soon he found that he has different plans regarding the store and it highly displeases Apu.

Elsewhere, Bart is trying hard not to prank anyone or anything as Homer has made him promise to do so. However, when he comes to know about the new store, he finds it unable to resist and breaks his promise.

In the previous episode titled "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles," groundskeeper Willie was trying to be a substitute teacher for the fourth grade, and read the poetry of Robert Burns.

In order to make the kids quiet, he started playing a bagpipe. Superintendent Chalmers entered the room and told Willie to stop playing the instrument and leave the room because there was a new teacher, Mrs. Berrera (who was also a retired Air Force Sergeant).

Bart started acting weird when she first entered the room and later realised that he has a crush on her new teacher.

Meanwhile, Homer had to buy healthy milk for the family, but Apu made him buy cheaper milk full of hormones made by Buzz Cola. The next morning, the family discovered that Bart was the first to wake up and was already dressed for class.

Lisa mocked Bart that he was only doing that for his new teacher, which was true. Homer drove Bart to school only to see her, and they were surprised by other dads, also eavesdropping on her class.

In the later part of the episode, Bart wrote "Skinner is a wiener" on the school's wall, but was surprised by Mrs. Berrera, who told him to come and see her after the class.

At their meeting, she told Bart that he was way behind the class and needed a tutor. When Seymour Skinner offered help on her class by pulling up her maps, Bart discovered that Skinner was also trying to impress Mrs. Berrera, and Skinner realised that Bart was trying to impress her too.
