Clary Fray's (Katherine McNamara) journey to finding and retaining the Mortal Cup has become more interesting. In Season 1 episode 10 titled "Blood Calls to Blood," the teenager will travel to an alternate reality with the help of Meliorn (Jade Hassoune) and sees her parents.
The previous episode of the Freeform TV series was emotional for many reasons. One of them being Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and Alec's (Matthew Daddario) intense fight. The parabatais eventually stopped beating each other when they realised that they are brothers/best friends. However, the residue of that kerfuffle will be felt when the next episode airs.

The promo for Episode 10 indicates that Alec and Jace's friendship/brotherhood will be threatened by a solid lack of trust. Alec will begin to doubt his best friend when he journeys into an alternate reality so that they can find Valentine (Alan van Sprang) and Clary's mother, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy). However, their expedition will not be bereft of some glitches along the way.
In the video clip, Alec gets attacked by creatures who perhaps belong to Valentine's army. When a vulnerable Alec cries for help, Jace is busy helping Clary find her way in a utopian world. The teenage shadowhunter sees a vision of her mother and Valentine enjoying their morning coffee while Clary herself looks blessed to be sitting beside them.
Of course, the reality is much different and Clary needs to divert her energy towards finding and rescuing her mother. She finds the motivation to do just that when Jace makes a startling discovery: Valentine is building an army. This information is crucial and they need to get back to reality, but finding Jocelyn and taking her home safe remains their foremost task.
Meanwhile, Lydia (Stephanie Bennett) and Izzy (Emeraude Toubia) will continue fighting in the real world. In another promo (via All TV Promos), the Clave's representative issues an arrest warrant for treason. The punishment for sleeping with Meliorn, the Clave's enemy could cause the Lightwood sibling her place in the shadowhunter world. What will she do? Can Magnus enter the picture and save her?
Season 1 Episode 10's synopsis (via TV Guide) reads:
"Clary, Jace and Luke devise a plan to rescue Jocelyn after a surprising ally provides them with important information about Valentine. Meanwhile, Inquisitor Herondale arrives at the Institute for Isabelle's trial; and Alec asks Magnus for help."
