Everyone's favourite drag reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race" is returning with Season 8 Monday, March 7, 2016. The first episode, aptly titled "Keeping It 100!" will mark the 100th episode of the show and it will kick-start RuPaul's search for the 100th queen.
Season 8 will see a fewer number of contestants than usual, with only 12 drag queens fighting it out for title of "America's Next Drag Superstar."
They are: Acid Betty aka Jamin Ruhren , Bob The Drag Queen aka Christopher Caldwell, Chi Chi DeVayne aka Zavion Davenport, Cynthia Lee Fontaine aka Carlos Hernandez, Dax ExclamationPoint aka Dax Martin, Derrick Barry aka Derrick Barry, Kim Chi aka Sang-young Shin, Laila McQueen aka Tyler Devlin, Naomi Smalls aka Davis Heppenstall, Naysha Lopez aka Fabian Rodriguez, Robbie Turner aka Jeremy Baird and Thorgy Thor aka Shane Galligan.
The winner of the season will bag a year's supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics and a cash prize of $100,000, along with the bragging rights. Besides RuPaul, Michelle Visage will judge the 12 drag queens. They will be joined by Ross Matthews and Carson Kressley, who will share the responsibilities on an alternate-week basis.
Season 8 is also expected to bring back reigning drag queens Violet Chachki, Raja, Jinx, Chad and Sharon.
