"Alex," which marked Season 1 Episode 12 of "Quantico," was a remarkable episode for fans, with the terrorist with the FBI finally contacting Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra). Although the call Alex received didn't reveal anything about the identity of the terrorist, the call confirmed that Elias (Rick Cosnett) was only a pawn in the NYC bombings and not the mastermind.

As always, "Quantico" tried to misdirect fans towards a new suspect in the previous episode, namely Liam (Josh Hopkins), who seems to be in a sexual relationship with Alex. In the phone conversation between bomber and Alex, the former had told her that they are a great team.

The conversation also implicated that they have worked closely with each other and like in the past Alex was still doing his/her bidding. From the conversation and the text messages shared between Alex and Liam, it would be easy to conclude that Liam is the terrorist. However, any fan of "Quantico" would know that it is a false lead.

Meanwhile, a new classmate of the NATs, Will (Jay Armstrong Johnson), who is rooming with Caleb (Graham Rogers), seems to replace Simon (Tate Ellington) as the obsessed fan of Raina/Nimah (Yasmine Al Massri). In a promo for "Clear," he has a photo of Nimah hidden in his perfectly arranged sock drawer.

"Quantico" has been teasing that one agent will die in the upcoming episode. While it is easy to assume that it is Vasquez (Anabelle Acosta), the woman strapped with a bomb in "Alex," the promo shows Vasquez as reassuring Alex that she was right all along. Nimah's face, on the other hand, is crossed off from a series of NATs' photos. This could from Will's sock drawer, with the rest of the socks covering all photos other than Nimah's.
