"Grey's Anatomy" returns to ABC this Thursday with the episode "My Next Life", which will pick up from last week's shocking revelation that April Kepner is once again pregnant with Jackson Avery's baby.
Sadly, the two finalised their divorce the same day, with Jackson still unaware that April is to become a mother. Based on the preview for "My Next Life," April is not willing to share the news with her soon-to-be ex husband.
However, she won't be able to hide her condition for long, and a baby might just be the thing to bring them back together.
In an interview with Variety, actress Sarah Drew, who plays April, said the next eight episodes are important for April and Jackson.
"We have a lot of story to tell that is all intertwined in this baby and her decision how, when and if to tell Jackson about the pregnancy, and how all of that comes to light," Drew said. "The next eight episodes, there's a lot of story that happens. This is really just a jumping-off point."
The other couple whose relationship seems to be on the rocks is Jo and Alex. Jo is yet to accept Alex's proposal and "My Next Life" will finally reveal whether there's hope for the couple. Interestingly, a good number of "Grey's Anatomy" fans have their hopes on Alex and Jo splitting and the former getting together with his longtime friend Meredith.
The synopsis for "My Next Life" as per Wikia reads:
"A patient from Meredith's very first surgery as an Intern is readmitted to Grey Sloan Memorial with a new aneurysm, and Amelia takes her case. Meanwhile, Maggie suspects that Richard knows about her relationship with Andrew, and Arizona debates dating again."
