The Telugu dubbed version of Vijay's "Kaththi" is likely to hit the screens on 21 November.

"Kaththi" Tamil version, which released on 22 October, is doing fantastic business at the worldwide box office. The film is inching towards the ₹100 crore mark and is expected to achieve the rare feat in a few days.

The Telugu version was slated to hit the screens on 31 October, but the film's release was put on hold as several producers had shown interest in remaking the film, following its grand success.

There were reports claiming that a special screening of "Kaththi" has been arranged for Telugu star Pawan Kalyan who was considered for the lead role in the remake version. It was being said that the Vijay starrer will be remade in Telugu, if Pawan likes the subject and gives a go-ahead.

On the other hand, there were also reports emerging that Ilayathalapathy Vijay was not keen on "Kaththi" getting remade in Telugu and wanted the dubbed version to get released soon, as he is looking for expanding horizons in the Telugu markets.

"#Kaththi unlikely 2 have a Telugu remake, #Vijay is keen on the dubbed version release. All his recent films have been dubbed into Telugu," tweeted entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

Distributors have confirmed the 21 November release, reported Andhraboxoffice. An official announcement of the release date of the Telugu version is still awaited.

Vijay-Murugadoss's last release "Thuppakki" was a massive hit. The Telugu dubbed version of the film titled as "Tupaki" also scored well at the box office. With the success of "Kaththi," the actor-director duo has struck gold once again. It will be interesting to see if the Telugu version of the film repeats the success of the Tamil version.

"Kaththi" is a commercial entertainer with a social message. The film has Vijay in dual roles – as a social activist and a thief. Samantha and Bollywood actor Neil Nithin Mukesh are also part of the film's cast. Anirudh has composed the songs, while cinematography is handled by George C Williams.
