The Ilayathalapathy's forthcoming movie, which was referred to as "Vijay 60" and "Thalapathy 60," has been titled "Bhairava" or "Bairava." The first look of the Tamil film were released on Monday, Sep. 5 on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi.

The makers formally made announcement on the revealing its title and first look on Saturday evening, Sept. 3. "#Thalapathy60 Title and First Look will be revealed on 5th September at 12.01am #Thalapathy60FLonSep5th," Vijaya Productions tweeted.

The name of the film has been a topic of a lot of speculation. Many titles have been doing the rounds ever since the movie hit the floors and "Enga Veetu Pillai," "Namma Veetu Pillai" and "Unga Veetu Pillai" were seriously considered as the film's title, say reports.

The interesting part of the story is that since 2000, only two of Vijay's films ("Puthiya Geethai" and "Azhagiya Tamil Magan") have had multiple-word titles. In the last nine years, all his films had one-word names and the trend has continued with "Bhairava."

It was earlier reported that the first look of "Vijay 60" would be released for Diwali. But the plans went for a change. But the actor's fans are not complaining as they are celebrating the occasion by trending topics related to the first look of the Tamil flick on Twitter.

"Vijay 60" is directed by Bharathan, who had earlier made "Azhagiya Tamizh Magan" with Ilayathalapathy. The movie had failed to create buzz at the box office. However, this did not stop the actor from signing the new flick. The upcoming film will be produced by Vijaya Productions, whose last Tamil movie was Ajith's "Veeram".

Bharathan has signed Keerthy Suresh to play the main female lead and Aparna Vinod will be doing secondary female lead in the Tamil movie, which has Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu playing the role of a villain. RK Suresh, Daniel Balaji, Sathish, Mimi Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sreeman, YG Mahendra and others are playing supporting roles.

The film, which will hit the screens in January 2017 on the occasion of Pongal festival, has Santhosh Narayanan's music, M Sukumar's editing and Praveen KL's editing.
