Tamil film "Vennila Veedu" featuring Senthil, Vijayalakshmi, Pandi, and VJ Settai Senthil has opened to mixed reviews.

While Dhanraj Manickham has composed the music, D.Kannan has handled the photography department. V.J.Sabu Joseph is the editor of the film.

Storyline
A rural couple migrates to the Chennai city and what happens to them in the busy world where the society's age-old values are degenerating forms the basic plot of "Vennila Veedu". From the events that he has seen in his life, director Vetri Mahalingam has penned the story for the Tamil movie.

Husband and wife Karthik (Senthil) and Thenmozhi (Vijayalakshmi) shift to Chennai with their baby and settle down in an apartment. She is a responsible housewife, who is a kind and caring person. This is her personality and she remains same even for outsiders. Her husband is quite successful in his profession. However, the couple's happiness ends when they are framed for robbery. Women are habitually attracted to ornaments and this character of a woman plays the central role in the storyline of "Vennila Veedu".

Mixed Reviews:
"Vennila Veedu" has opened up to mixed reviews from the audience. While the good message and the performance of the actors have gotten thumbs up from critics and audience, the slow narration and background score are turning out to be drawbacks of the film.

Reviewing the movie, Only Kollywood tweeted, "#VennilaVeedu is a passable family drama which works in its limited atmosphere. (2.25/5)."

While Kollywood Cinema rated it 3/5, Galatta noted that "Vennila Veedu" is a gripping family drama. However, critic Raisa Nasreen is not impressed by the film and says that the film promotes wrong ideologies.
