Rhea Kapoor's chick flick "Veere Di Wedding" will finally go on floors with four powerhouse performers. The chick flick, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania of "Wake Up Sid" fame in the lead roles.
"Veere Di Wedding" is a story of four girls who embark on a journey from Delhi to Europe, which culminates into Veera's big fat Punjabi wedding. Rhea is already in Delhi to start the shooting of her film and the crew is expected to reach there soon.
"Veere Di Wedding" first schedule will start in Delhi and then the crew will go to Thailand for the next schedule, the Times of India reported.
Sonam, who plays the lead along with Kareena, shared the news about her next movie "Veere Di Wedding" on Twitter. "#veerediwedding my next!! @rheakapoor #kareenakapoor @reallyswara shikhatalsania @ekmainaurektu7," she tweeted with a photo of all the lead actors of the film.
For the first time, fans will see Kareena and Sonam sharing screen space on the silver screen. Kareena and Sonam will play the lead roles, while Swara and Shikha will be in supporting cast.
"Swara Bhaskar plays the third friend. For the character of the fourth girl in the all-girl group, the makers have finalised Tiku Talsania's daughter Shikha Talsania (best known for her role in Wake Up Sid). While Sonam and Bebo play the leads, Swara and Shikha will be the supporting leads," a source told DNA.
Meanwhile, before Kareena, Katrina Kaif was in talks with the makers for the lead role, but it's Bebo, who finally got on board with the "Veere Di Wedding" team.
