Android smartphone users are constantly watching out for the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. But there are several obstacles that manufacturers and carriers must overcome before dispatching the final build of the OS. Moto X Style owners in India are getting updated to the Android Marshmallow OS, welcoming a bundle of new features to the handset.

The new update to Moto X Style users in India follows an announcement from Motorola's David Schuster earlier this month, where he confirmed the rollout of Android Marshmallow to Moto X Style (3rd gen) in Brazil and India and Moto X (Gen 2) in Brazil.

"The new update will offer features and improvements such as doze mode, app standby, expandable storage, do not disturb, now on tap, direct share and more. We recommend installing this update when the phone battery is at least 50 percent charged and when connected to a WiFi network," Motorola said in a press release, The Mobile Indian reports.

Android Marshmallow update on Moto X Style brings several new features. Take a look at the synopsis of the change-log below:

  • Doze mode
  • App standby
  • App permissions
  • App links
  • Expandable storage
  • Do not Disturb
  • Volume controls
  • Now on Tap
  • Direct Share
  • Moto Display and Ambient Display
  • Attentive Display.

By updating your Moto X Style to Android Marshmallow, you will no longer find the Moto Assist, Motorola Migrate and the Google Chrome extension in the Motorola Connect due to core integration of similar features in Android M.

Before updating the software on your Moto X Style, ensure your device is charged at least 50 percent and you are connected to a secure Wi-Fi network or chances are you may incur data overages or charges.
