Junior NTR's Telugu movie "Temper" has debuted with an overwhelming response and done fantastic collection at the worldwide box office on the first day. It has become the biggest opener of 2015 beating the record of Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh starrer "Gopala Gopala."

Ever since Puri Jagannath announced it, "Temper" has been hogging the limelight for many good reasons. Its music has become a big success and its promos have also impressed viewers, and made them wait eagerly for its release. In addition, the makers have had massive promotions for the film.

A week before its release, "Temper" started trending on social media. Seeing the Junior NTR mania, the makers made advance booking available even before the movie cleared the formalities of the Censor Board. All the tickets for its opening day were sold out like hot cakes in many centres, within hours of opening. The movie registered over 70% sale of tickets in advance booking in non-Telugu-speaking areas too.

"Temper" released in over 1,400 screens across the globe (850 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 300 in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other parts of India, 250 screens overseas) on 13 February. Considering these facts, trade experts had predicted that "Temper" would get a superb response and become the biggest opener for Junior NTR, beating records of his previous films.

Many ardent fans of Junior NTR spent a sleepless night, as the screening of "Temper" began at 4.00 am on Friday in several theatres across the country. The movie registered 100% occupancy in early shows everywhere and also got positive responses from movie buffs and critics.

The strong word-of-mouth drove unprecedented crowds to theatres in both Telugu-speaking and non-Telugu speaking centres for the morning, matinee and evening shows. The movie ran to packed houses in both single screens and multiplexes almost everywhere. The film is expected to get the same response in the evening shows too.

The makers are yet to reveal the first day collection of "Temper". But as per early trends, "Temper" has collected approximately ₹9.68 crore at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office on the first day, according to Andhra Box Office. Another ₹5+ crore are coming from its screening in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharastra, other parts of north India and international markets.

"Tamper has raked in approximately ₹15 crore at the global box office on the first day. The film has become the biggest opener for Junior NTR, beating the first day business record of "Baadshah". That is not all. It has also smashed the record of "Gopala Gopala" and become the biggest opener of the year. Andhra Box Office tweeted, "2015 & NTR's Biggest Opening Day #Temper."e

The Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal starrer has also beaten the record of Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu" and become the second all time biggest opener Tollywood film at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office.
