Dubbed GenX Nano Easy Shift (Automated Manual Transmission), the latest in the Nano-line up gets fresh styling in the front and rear with its new Smiley bumper along with the openable boot lid. That is not all. As the new Nano name indicates, the model gets AMT, which is first in the Nano line-up. Other details of the new Nano are expected to be revealed at the time of launch.

"Pricing and other information about the all new GenX Nano will be available soon," a spokesperson told IBTimes India.

A report in Zigwheels claimed that the company has started accepting bookings for new Nano GenX with a down payment of ₹5,000 and that the model will be launched in India on 2 May.

Under the hood, new Nano GenX is likely to have the same 624 cc twin cylinder petrol engine that can churn out a 38 PS peak power and 51 Nm peak, and is likely to be offered in both manual and AMT variants.

While Nano Genx XE, XM, and XT are likely to be available with a manual transmission, XM and XT are expected to get AMT.

From what we have seen so far, Tata New GenX Nano will be offered in Meteor Silver, Pearl White, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, Damson Purple, Persian Rose and Sangria Red (new) colours.
