The audio launch of "Sikander" will be live streamed online on MAA TV. The video is also getting live streamed on RamaLakshmi Cine Creations' YouTube channel from Thursday 6 pm onwards.

Fans can also watch the audio release function live on Maa Movies channel from 7.30 pm onwards.

"Sikander" will mark the first time collaboration of Suriya with director Lingusamy who is popular for his commercial entertainers like "Pandemkodi" ("Sandakozhi" in Tamil). Samantha plays the female lead opposite Suriya. The film also has Brahmanandam, Vidyut Jamwal and Manoj Bajpai in pivotal roles.

The film is expected to hit the screens on 15 August along with the Tamil version "Anjaan." In that case, the Suriya starrer will be locking horns with Jr NTR's "Rabhasa," which is also set to hit the screens on the same day. However, there is buzz doing the rounds that "Sikander" will be pushed by a week and the film will be released on 22 August. If it turns out to be true, the film will avoid clashes with the Jr NTR starrer. Interestingly, "Rabhasa" and " Sikander" have Samantha as the female lead.

Samantha's hot avatar and Suriya's stylish looks are generating a lot of positive buzz about "Sikander." The film will be Suriya's first release of 2014. The actor was last seen in "Singam Yamudu 2," which hit the screens in 2013.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Thirrupathi Brothers, "Sikander" is touted to be a gangster flick. The film will have Suriya playing a dual role after K.V.Anand's "Brothers" ("Maattrraan" in Tamil) in which he appeared as conjoined twins.

Sridhar Lagadapati has reportedly bought the Telugu dubbing rights of the Suriya starrer under his Larsco Entertainment banner. He will be distributing the film in Andhra and Telangana, reported the Times of India.

"Sikander" is carrying decent buzz and it is expected to receive good openings upon its release as Suriya is popular among the Telugu speaking audience. Whether the film's content will impress the audience or not is something one need to wait and watch.
