"Anjaan" is produced by Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers and UTV Motion Pictures. The film's music, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, has already turned out to be a hit. One of the songs titled "Ek Do Theen" has been rendered by Suriya and has become popular among the masses.
Expectations are huge for "Anjaan" as it is Suriya's film. The film's first look posters, songs, teaser and trailer have generated a lot of positive pre-release buzz. The film will not have a solo release and is likely to clash with Parthepan's "Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam," which is also slated to hit the screens on 15 August.
However, "Anjaan" is likely to have a big release and is sure to see a grand opening. The Independence Day weekend is expected to help the film fetch good collections at the box office. The action entertainer will be premiered in Malaysia on 14 August. The Suriya starrer will be released by Ayngaran International in record 58 locations across U.K.
Suriya's last release "Singam 2" was a big hit at the box office. It remains to be seen if "Anjaan" will be able to reprise "Singam 2" success at the box office.
