Suriya's new film with director Venkat Prabhu has been titled "Masss".

There were a lot of speculations regarding the film's title. Rumours were doing the rounds that the film has been titled "Poochandi". But now, it has been confirmed that the Suriya starrer has been named "Masss".

The title has fetched fantastic reception from fans and celebrities on social networking sites.

"Masss" will be the first film in Suriya and Venkatprabhu's association. Nayanthara, Amy Jackson and Premgi Amaren are also reportedly part of the film's cast. The film's music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and editing will be done by Praveen KL, for whom this will be the 50th film.

"Masss" cinematography will be handled by RD Rajasekar and dialogues will be written by Madhan Karky.

Expectations are high on the film as Suriya has a huge fan following. Director Venkat Prabhu has been on a roll with several successful films to his credit, including "Chennai 28", "Saroja" and "Mankatha". Since the actor-director duo is teaming up for the first time, there is a lot of hype surrounding the film even before the shoot could commence.

Suriya has completed the shoot of the much-anticipated "Anjaan" and is awaiting its release, which is scheduled for 15 August as an Independence Day treat for fans. It is not clear whether "Masss" shoot will commence post the release of "Anjaan", or prior to that.
