Salman Khan's "Sultan" has created history by becoming the only Bollywood film to earn Rs. 30 crore in first three days of its release at the box office. Also, "Sultan" has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark with its nett box office collection in just three days.

This is the third record Salman's "Sultan" has created at the box office. The sports drama became the biggest Eid opener with a box office income of Rs. 36.54 crore nett, the next day it recorded the highest second-day collection with an income of Rs. 37.20 crore and earned more than Rs. 30 crore on its third day. Though the first and second day had partial holidays, the third day was a usual working day and thus Rs. 30 crore income on a Friday is a big figure.

The Salman-Anushka Sharma starrer also touched the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office with its net income. "Sultan" is the fifth Bollywood film of all time to earn more than Rs. 100 crore in just three days of its release. "Dhoom 3," "Chennai Express," "Happy New Year" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" are the other four films that entered the Rs. 100 crore club in three days of its release.

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is now the third biggest grosser and also the third film of this year to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark. With its three-day box office collection, "Sultan" shattered the lifetime box office collection record of almost all the films released this year, including Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan." The Salman-starrer is now set to break the records of Akshay Kumar's "Airlift" and "Housefull 3" to become the highest grosser of this year.

"Sultan" was released worldwide on July 6 in 4,350 screens in India and 1,100 screens overseas. The film, starring Salman and Anushka as wrestlers, features Randeep Hooda, Kumud Mishra and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles.
